Saathi – A Helping Hand For All

India has floods every year. States like Assam, Orissa, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh have floods every year. People living in these states lose their loved ones, their livelihood, their houses in these floods. After talking to people who stay in these states, they mentioned that their condition hasn’t changed for years. For years they have not been assisted well, helped in the best ways possible. This made us think and that is when we came up with a solution that will assist these citizens during their tough times.

We came up with an application named Saathi that will help the citizens to get all the required information in one place. This app will help them find all the rescue options they have, location of all the essentials they need and much more. Saathi will help the victims before, during and after floods. This application is their guide and an information kit for survival.

It is very difficult to avoid a natural calamity. It is difficult to completely change the system in one day. But these baby steps of assisting the citizens to reduce panic and the impact on their lives during and after floods in possible. This app has its future aspects where the information feed in the application by the citizens for the government will help the government strategize for the future floods and lessen the impact of these floods in the aspect of people’s lives. This app is a future for all the calamities and will help the citizens stay safe. Saathi has its future plans of starting their own series of online courses which will help educate the younger generations about the calamities and how to survive them.
