Design X Social ’22
EduMe
Project Summary
Problem Identified
When the pandemic hit, a lot of people were made to shift to online services even if they did not know how to use a smartphone. Today the non-tech-savvy users have to rely on someone to help them out when they face issues using any app or the phone or most of them learned to use these apps from Youtube or Google. There is an app for almost everything in the market today, everyone wants a fancy-looking app but no one teaches us how to use these apps. Even though these apps take the efforts to have an intuitive UI, for the majority of the Indian population this new technologically influenced language is new and hence not so intuitive. Learning from videos and searching more about them can solve the issue but today not everyone has the time at hand to watch a 10-minute long video and learn how to use any specific function.
Design Innovation
EduMe is exactly the app you need that gives you a hand in using the smartphone, it teaches you all the activities and meaning of the different icons used across apps through interactive demo sessions and also lets you test your knowledge by arranging short task-based quizzes.
Impact On The Society
EduMe helps users help themselves and become independent, whose importance was eminently highlighted by the pandemic.
