A strong advocate of human-centered ethical design, Supriya has worked on an intensive research of the voice industry- focusing on impacts of usage of digital voice assistants, and has created the ‘Ethical Conversation Design Toolkit,’ a human-centered framework to help practitioners in Voice AI consider ethical issues while designing voice interactions.
Supriya features in the list of ‘100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics’ 2022 by Women in AI Ethics™ (WAIE), a global initiative whose mission is to increase recognition, representation and empowerment of women in AI Ethics. She was also a finalist in the 2021 ‘Women in Voice’ awards in the ‘DEI in Voice’ category that recognizes outstanding contributions to advance diversity, equity and inclusion in Voice AI.
Supriya has an advertising and strategic design background, and has played multiple roles in creative direction, strategic planning and business management. From daily-wage earners to international artists, start-ups to Fortune 500 companies, villages in India to retail stores in Europe- Supriya has done work for a wide spectrum of consumers, clients and geographies.
