The current ongoing crisis has led to a lockdown situation, with many services and businesses adversely affected. Similarly, the schools and colleges have been shut, severely affecting our education system and more importantly our children's future. There is a high amount of tension among parents and many questions have been arising like - how will school-going children continue with their education? Are all children comfortable with the online mode of learning and whether it is effective for everyone? How might we help the parents and students find an effective approach to receive education under lockdown situation? How might we ensure education institutions and teachers remain employed and provide unrestricted education in the new normal?

We followed the model of design process empathize, define, ideate, prototype, test and via rigorous research and practices came up with an innovative solution – “Home Tutor”, An application which helps the teachers, students and parents share the same platform and help students continue education through online platform. The application authorized by the government on which teachers, parents/students would register themselves. It follows simple steps: Parents/students search for teachers nearby, The teacher will accept the request and schedule class, The teacher would visit student house and teach them.

Due to lockdown children, education is disrupted, the online mode of education is not the best option for kids. Home Tutor helps the student to continue education using offline mode which helps overcome all drawbacks of online education as well Teachers lose jobs during this period, this app can help them to earn and help others learn. Health deteriorates when kids are stuck to laptop/mobile, this app will overcome that aspect as well
